What are YOUR views on the future of rural South Lanarkshire?South Lanarkshire Rural Partnership is currently developing an action plan for the next 6 years with the intention of making rural South Lanarkshire one of the best places to live, work and visit in  Scotland. What changes do YOU want to see in rural South Lanarkshire? The partnership have devised a draft strategy which aims to “develop a sustainable approach to regeneration, improve the quality of life for local communities, address problems of rural disadvantage, as well as safeguarding and enhancing the area’s rich cultural, historic and natural heritage”.
The Partnership is seeking feedback from the public to ensure the Integrated Rural Development Strategy is addressing the issues most important to the residents in the area. Engaging in this process is of vital importance to all of us, and we encourage all individuals, organisations and communities of interest in Rural South Lanarkshire to become involved in finalising the strategy, and making the connections with local and national priorities. The finalised strategy will set out the approach that will be taken forward with the rural agenda for many years to come, and will be a key document for accessing future funding.
