About theGuidLife

theGuidLife is an online community run by and for the people of rural South Lanarkshire. It is a non-profit social enterprise, that ploughs any revenue back into providing more capacity and additional functionality.

It provides:

  • Access to local information through a searchable database of services and organisations.
  • Help for local voluntary organisations to develop an ‘on-line’ presence; allowing them to promote their work locally, nationally and internationally.
  • A marketplace to encourage local businesses and access to businesses that serve Lanarkshire
  • A place for local residents to participate in community planning and engage in consultations about their community
In short, it is designed to be a useful resource created for the people of Lanarkshire, by the people living and working in Lanarkshire.

"We want to create an easily accessible online experience for the local community where people can gain information relevant to them in their everyday lives. In addition, we will support community organisations to use modern technology through the creation of a web presence to strengthen the work that they do for the people of the Lanarkshire."
