Living in a rural area can sometimes make it hard to find out about learning opportunities. Over the next few months, we'll be adding information about local learning providers and how to get started with or continue your lifelong learning.

Funding for Learning

If you are over 18 and living in Scotland, you could get up to £200 towards the cost of learning new skills with an individual learning account from ILA Scotland. More details can be found on their website.

Here are some of the organisations who can offer you help and advice.

Learn Direct helps individuals and small businesses across Scotland to realise their potential through learning, at a time, place, pace and style that suits their needs. Visit their website to find your nearest Learn Direct Centre or find more information.

Have a look at the MyETL website (My Entitlement to Learning), which provides information on local learning opportunities available throughout Lanarkshire.
