
Crawford VillageCrawford is located beside the A74(M) halfway between here and there. Population is around 305.7 at the last count. Don't know who did the counting.
There are three hotels and a Village shop. The Village Hall hosts various groups. The local primary school serves the Crawford and Elvanfoot areas. The High School is located about 18 miles away in Biggar and a coach service is provided to ferry the children to Biggar. Unfortunately, this coach also brings them back in the afternoon. The Heatherghyll Hotel  Located at the top end of the village, open all day, serves food and drink and has overnight parking facilities for trucks.

Hotel and Truck Stop. Located near the centre of the village, open all day, serves food and drink and has overnight parking facilities for trucks. Also has accomodation and caters for parties and functions. Tel. 01864 502267 Williams Rest  Located at the South end of the village, open all day, serves food and drink. Traditional Scottish food is served here. Also has accomodation. Ajay's Village Shop
The Village Shop and Post Office: Open 7ish until 17:30 Monday to Friday, and until 1pm weekends. Newspapers and provisions can be bought and takeaway food is also available. Nip in there at 5 past 5 and order some hot food. Try the Scampi and Chips.
